A lot of people ask, 'How long will my Kitchen renovation take'. Our answer is, 'It depends on the products used within your Kitchen'. This is because different products have varying lead times for their manufacture. Time for this is allocated within the written contract, which can be 4 weeks or up to 8 weeks in some cases. When it comes to the installation, our aim is to keep disruption to your everyday life as minimal as possible. We do this in a couple of ways:-
- Our Kitchens are built in our factory environment and delivered to site already assembled. No lengthy construction is required at the site. (E.g. For a kitchen using standard products, such as- laminate bench tops and melamine Kitchen externals, the client is without a workable kitchen for one night only).
- Good Organisation, communication and team work.
- We are reliable and on time!
Following is an outline of the complete process from beginning to end.
1. Client makes contact with Cut Above Kitchens & Cabinets.
2. An appointment time is arranged for initial site visit to determine client's needs and to gain all the information required to form a quote.
3. Quotation emailed/posted to client within 5 business days in most cases
4. Quote accepted by client. A Contract is drawn up for the agreed work to be completed. The contract includes details of the contractor - being 'Cut Above Kitchens & Cabinets', total project value and a listing of progress payments at the specified stages. It also sets out the work to be undertaken with the supporting design documents, time frames and terms and conditions of the contract.*
5. Client is notified that the contract is ready to sign. Arrangements are made to sign and to make initial deposit for the work. (A 5 day cooling off period applies)
6. Client selects and confirms colours in a showroom consult.
7. We proceed to do a secondary site visit to check measure the work area to confirm sizing gathered from quotation stage.
8. Work commences on the project in the factory. The time frame for the build is as stated in the contract.
9. Client is notified of the progress and the installation date is confirmed.
10. On the agreed date the job is installed and completed.
11. The final payment is made after the work is fully completed according to the progress payment schedule in the contract.
* A 3D drawing of the completed kitchen can be included if required.
